Poetry Sunday: Nothing Gold Can Stay

Happy Sunday :) I'm going to share a poem that I love. I'm going to try to do it every Sunday.

This poem has been near and dear to my heart since I first read it in my favorite book, The Outsiders, in 6th grade. Enjoy!

Nothing Gold Can Stay
Nature's first green is gold,
 Her hardest hue to hold.
 Her early leaf's a flower;
 But only so an hour.
 Then leaf subsides to leaf.
 So Eden sank to grief,
 So dawn goes down to day.
 Nothing gold can stay.
-Robert Frost
